On Friday, Keystone Fire and Security met with City of Easton officials to demonstrate how ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) technology will help to improve the quality of life for the residents of Easton.
ALPR technology, deployed by Keystone Fire and Security in Allentown, Scranton and other municipalities across the state, will help the City of Easton to create a safer place for residents to live work and play. Keystone Fire and Security is a certified installer of Genetec ALPR fixed, mobile and cloud based 
systems that are used by law enforcement, parking authorities and universities. ALPR technology will help the city of Easton to protect the community by apprehending more suspects, recovering stolen vehicles and identifying and locating vehicles of interest. It will also provide an update to their parking enforcement solution that will enhance the public parking experience with better management of parking permits, paid parking and limited time zones.
Keystone Fire and Security brought their demo vehicle along for officials to get a “hand’s on” demonstration to see how the technology will be used to improve public safety and the quality of life.
