According to OSHA, Paragraph 1910.157 (g) "Training and Education", this requirement states that the employer "shall also provide an educational program of fire extinguisher use… upon initial employment and at least annually thereafter." Keystone recognizes the importance of education when considering the effectiveness of fire extinguishers. For that reason we offer two fire extinguisher training programs to help you comply with this requirement: |
 |
| |
Classroom Training
Classroom material will cover a video presentation on the proper use of fire extinguishers, discussion topics on "the Fire Triangle", the 5-classes of fire, and which extinguisher(s) to use on each class of fire. We also provide customer-specific training with your own extinguishers and the types of fires you are most likely to encounter in your facility. The program concludes with a fire safety quiz and your employees will be presented with a Certificate of Completion for their training. |

Hands-On Live Fire Training
Combination classroom and live fire training include all of the elements detailed above plus an opportunity for each of your employees to extinguish a live fire using a fire extinguisher on a controlled-burn pan fire. The information presented here can save the lives of your employees and prevent catastrophic loss from an uncontrolled fire in your facility. |
