Foam

Typical Usages:

AFFF (Aqueous Film-Forming Foam) extinguishers are used on Class A — ordinary combustibles and Class B — flammable liquid fires. They extinguish fire by cooling, soaking and penetrating. Foam extinguishers are frequently used in flammable liquid storage areas, laboratories using chemicals, paint manufacturing locations, dip tanks and aircraft fuel servicing areas.

FFFP (Film-Forming Fluoroprotein Foam) adds Class B fire fighting capability to the Class A effectiveness of this water-based extinguisher. The Alcohol Resistant fire fighting agent is effective on fires in a wide variety of class B materials such as alcohols, polar solvents, hydrocarbons, and combinations such as gasohol. Apply to a non-ignited class B liquid spill and it will seal the surface minimizing the chance of serious fire.
