ABC extinguishers are the most commonly used and have the broadest extinguishing capabilities. They utilize monoammonium phosphate to extinguish Class A — ordinary combustibles, Class B — flammable liquids and Class C — electrically charged fires. They are used in a variety of locations including: public areas, laboratories, mechanical rooms, break rooms, chemical storage areas, offices, and commercial vehicles.
